In the 1st tutorial I wrote about removing unwanted spyware, hijackers and viruses I discussed tools and methods to removing unwanted files from your computer. This turorial will go into some of the support available from Microsoft and some crucial updates.

This small but helpful article will go through some of the steps you can take to remove some of the worst hijackers, viruses and spyware found on your PC. I will go through some necessary tools to attack the hijackers with some of their own medicine.

Recently, one of my computers was infected with a major hijacker/virus that literally was undetectable by a few programs. But with persistence and determination I was able to find the source of the problem and deal with it accordingly without having to re-install windows.

Within these computer learning series, I've been teaching you about your computer maintenance, attacking viruses, and removing spyware. Now I will show you some simple Windows & Mac keyboard shortcuts that will help you with your everyday computer learning experience. Using a mouse isn't always necessary. In fact, if you learn to use keyboard shortcuts on a daily basis, you will learn to 'cut' time off using your mouse.

Now that we've discussed about virus detection, spyware removal, and cleaning your computer registry, we can now get into two basic tools for cleaning up your computer to enhance the performance. Defragmenting your computer, and disk cleanup. These tools have been around since Windows 3.1. Disk cleanup & Degraging your computer help to clean up files within your hard drive and to re-arange your files to optimize your hard drives space.

Within part 1 & 2 we learned about viruses, spyware, adware detection techniques, and prevention techniques. This tutorial will show you how to clean your computer's registry in order to manage the mess created from viruses, spyware, and other programs. When your computer gets infected with malicious software, they leave behind a trail of computer jargon that slows down your computer dramatically. Also, when you add & remove programs, they too leave behind a trail of registry information that is no longer valid.

Within part 1, "Cleaning your computer of viruses" I discussed how to properly get rid of viruses from your computer, and how to take preventative actions against them. This article will now show you how to get rid of a second attacker, the deadly spyware & adware. Spyware & Adware usually install a simple or complicated program onto your computer without you ever knowing it with the sole purpose of collecting data from you, or giving you unwanted ads, and then sending all results back to the owner who created it.
